About Judge Drummond

Early in his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Carroll County, Kevin learned just how much the courtroom matters in people’s lives. He saw families in crisis, victims seeking justice, small businesses trying to resolve disputes, and everyday citizens navigating a legal system that can feel confusing and intimidating. It was there that he came to understand that trial courts are where the law touches real life, and that judges carry an enormous responsibility to the people they serve.

Over the years, Kevin has seen the justice system from every side. He has stood in court as a prosecutor, worked with municipalities handling busy dockets, defended individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, represented clients in civil disputes, and ultimately served as a judge. That broad experience taught him an important lesson: most people who come to court aren’t looking for special treatment—they just want to be heard and treated fairly.

Kevin is guided by a simple belief that has shaped his life and career: to whom much is given, much is required. He believes the experience he has gained comes with an obligation to serve with fairness, humility, and integrity. As a judge, that means listening carefully, applying the law consistently, and treating everyone who enters the courtroom with dignity and respect.

Serving as a Municipal Court Judge and later as a State Court Judge reinforced for Kevin the importance of patience, professionalism, and public trust. He understands that judges don’t just decide cases—they set the tone for the courtroom and shape how people view the justice system. Kevin works to ensure cases are handled efficiently, decisions are clear, and the court remains a place people can trust.

Kevin Drummond believes that a good judge brings both experience and the right temperament to the bench. Patience matters. Listening matters. Real courtroom experience matters. Every decision must be based on the facts and the law—nothing more and nothing less.
